Amp Repair/Upgrade/'Preventive Maintenance' Prices:
(Normal hourly
bench rate is $60,
unless otherwise noted)

*NOTE *
Sorry, but there is *NO* "waiting 'till the amp is fixed" in the shop
any longer.
Repair work is to be dropped off, shipped in, or picked up when finished
in the order of completion - *NO* exceptions.
*ANY* electrical part (this includes TUBEs) that is
returned 'working properly' will incur a 50% restocking fee. The *ONLY*
exception would be a defective part that is due to manufacturing - *NOT* due to
misuse, abuse, or over-stressed due to use in an improper
manner, or wrong circuit.
Hourly labor charges are *NOT* refunded or negotiated
either.
|
NOTE: *ANY* repair work needed is an additional charge to the above list. You will be contacted if more work is required to get your amp in working order. The prices above are for replacing the tubes, electrolytic caps and associated components to bring the amp within OEM specs; NOT for repairing amps needing tech work. Shipping/handling/insurance is an additional cost. E-mail or call for details.
Additional NOTE: There is a $100 minimum billing on amps shipped in for repair due to the paperwork and time involved unpacking and repacking the amps.
If you're shipping your amp to me just
remove all the tubes and pack them in a separate box (don't even send them if
you are getting new tubes). Ship the chassis only in a sturdy cardboard box with
plenty of bubble wrap or crushed paper padding. Do ***NOT*** use foam
peanuts. Double box if needed.
Ship by UPS, FedEx ground (the best IMO), or USPS, with appropriate insurance to:

Typical (work/repair) turnaround time is 2-5
weeks; depending on 'travel plans' - I take care of musical groups/customers on
the road, and in other states; and that could take me out of the area for up to
a month. That is the only 'variable' on my repair estimates. Please call to
check.
