He Who Has Led Us

1^st verse:                                                    4^th verse:
When we get caught in the tempest               When finally the time comes
each one takes a stand.                                 and He calls us home
We can fall ‘fore the wreckage                      we can lay down our burdens,
in spite of what’s planned,                             and the troubles we’ve known.
or we can hear His message                          For He who has led us
and follow His creed.                                    brings us to the gates
Let He who has led us                                   that lead into heaven.
continue to lead.                                            His kingdom awaits.

2^nd verse:                                                   5^th verse:
Confronting the dangers                                And when those gates open
and bearing life’s stings                                 I know He’ll be there.
can make one afraid                                     Arms outstretched showing
of what eternity brings.                                 the kingdom we’ll share.
There’s no need to despair.                          To Him I’ll come running,
In the scriptures believe.                               tears of joy I will shed.
Let He who has led us                                  So glad that I followed
continue to lead.                                           where He has led.

3^rd verse:
Heaven is waiting
is the promise He made.
Through resurrection
His spirit has stayed.
From the beginning
‘til now is His seed.
Let He who has led us
continue to lead.
